I have updated how you can refer to scrolls by the spell they hold. You no longer have to fully specify the spell name and may just use parts of the name.

This fixes a bug that made it impossible to refer to a Cherry Blossoms in Bloom scroll (or A Cup of Tea and Sake scroll if you had options input andascomma=on).

Existing scrolls will only be updated when they next load, so if you have any issues with a scroll you can su with it in your inventory to fix it.

Some parks in Ankh-Morpork were not spawning NPCs properly, affecting some sausage missions.

This has been fixed.

I've fixed two bugs in the hedgehog command:

* Hidden NPCs and players who can't resist the music will now come out of hiding when dancing.

* The punishment for singing the hedgehog song in Ankh-Morpork is fixed. You will now be contracted if you ignore the warnings given by the Musicians' Guild enforcers.

Enjoy/beware,

Fran!

I have updated how spell casting works with respect to consumable components.

The checks for consumable components now happen up front - before the scroll is emptied (where applicable), GP is spent or components that can be used are consumed.

When specifying which components to use with the using syntax, components that cannot be consumed will generate an error message now.

When not specifying which components to use with the using syntax, components that cannot be consumed (because they are k...

You may now claim identifiers that someone else set if you have possession of the object:

> identify claim <object>

For shoppers who want to claim the identifiers in their newly purchased p-shop goods:

> identify claim <container>, all in <container>

Keep On Keeping, posted on Wed Nov 17 16:04:58 2021

I've updated, and fixed some bugs, in keep:

- The keep flag will no longer be removed when a kept item leaves your inventory accidentally.

- The keep flag now only applies to the player who set it (always).

- The put command now respects keep. You cannot put kept items into containers that you're not carrying.

- You will not fumble kept items unless there is no other choice.

Enjoy,

Fran.

I have changed how the identify command works. Items you identify will now only lose their identity when someone uses the identify command again or the unidentify command. This means that identities won't be lost if you give an item to a cloud, bat or horse nor if another player handles the item.

Note that other players can overwrite or unidentify items, so only hand over your precious items to people that you trust.

Also note that identifiers used to leak to other players when an item was so...

A bug with paint, causing it to forget the colour it had, has been fixed. If you bought paint in the last week and a bit it will be assigned a new random colour when it next reloads.

If you have some you really want set back to its original colour, ask me or another liaison for help.

Buggy Blocking, posted on Sat Mar 6 13:43:29 2021

I have fixed a bug affecting the cost of blocking with a shield. This was using the parry skill instead of the block skill. Low level block users in particular are likely to notice a difference.

Note: Most NPCs are unaffected but a few may now be improved. Approach at your own risk.

Good luck and happy hunting!
